Overview
The TDI Advanced Tri-Mix course provides the training required to competently and safely utilise breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilising Nitrox and / oxygen mixtures duing decompression to a maximum depth of 300 fsw / 91 msw.
Course Objectives.
The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen / helium / nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases.
Diver Pre-Requisites
- Minimum age of 18 years Minimum certification as Extended Range Diver or Entry Level Tri-Mix Diver ( or equivalent ).
- Minimum of 150 logged dives (US 100) in Europe, 35 of those dives must be deeper than 100 fsw / 30 msw or equivalent at the discretion of the instructor.
Course Requirements.
- Classroom session of 8 hours. Open water dives 4 with a minimum of accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes, with at least 2 dives deeper than 180 fsw / 40 msw.
- Two dives may be credited from the Extended Range course or equivalent.
