Pre requisites:
You must have PADI advanced or equivalent, and be 15 years or older.
Overview
In this course you will make 4 more elective dives (from the list below).
The course is designed to enhance your diving skills, introduce new and exciting experiences, and increase your theoretical and practical knowledge of diving.
Course Schedule
You will need to complete four elective dives from the following:
- Night dive.
- Altitude diving.
- Drift diving.
- Boat diving.
- Dry suit diving.
- Multilevel diving.
- Search and recovery.
- Underwater naturalist.
- Underwater photography.
- Wreck diving.
Academic Training
There are 5 theory modules covering:
- physics.
- physiology.
- skills and the environment .
- equipment.
- recreational dive planner and wheel.
This is supported by the encyclopaedia, which you need to read prior to coming to the academic sessions. You will also need to complete the workbook prior to the academic session. These sessions are designed to support the independent learning from the encyclopaedia and not replace it.
This may be completed in one full day.
First Aid Course you will need to have a current certification for this course in order to complete the PADI Advanced Plus course.
Confined Training Depending on the elective dives you choose, there may be pool sessions, e.g. drysuit orientation in the pool, for the drysuit diver. This will take place in one of many pools in the Surrey & Sussex area.
Open Water dives are conducted over a weekend or the minimum of 2 days consisting of 4 dives, maximum of 3 per day. The open water dives are normally conducted at inland sites or weather permitting on the south coast at Brighton.
